I started writing political commentary in 2003 when I started the website CommonSenseGovernment.com.
When Biden was elected I got so discouraged I stopped writing for a while and concentrated on my marketing business. But recently I decided to start writing again.
The Democratic Party has lost its way and has earned a well-deserved stay in the political wilderness. How did it happen?
The party used to stand for the little guy. But that has all changed. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact time, but the Democratic Party has fully and unabashedly embraced Marxism. All of what they are doing right now grows out of Marxism. And policies that will lead to Marxism and greater power for their party are the total priority, with zero consideration for their destructive effects on the overall population.
Of course the original concept of Marxism was that the lower class had been oppressed by the upper class, and that they would revolt against that and overthrow the upper class in a glorious revolution.
Except that didn’t happen in the West, in America and Europe. There was too much opportunity under capitalism for the little guy to work his way up and have a comfortable and happy existence in the middle class. There was not enough simmering resentment in the West to drive a communist revolution. And conditions in western capitalist countries were much better than in the communist countries.
But the Marxists were undeterred. The postmodernists and cultural Marxists came up with another plan, to redefine all of society as being a product of oppression, with everyone either being an oppressor or the oppressed. Thus we got blacks against whites (and eventually all non-whites against whites), women against men, and gays against straights. And the white male and the patriarchy were the new, ultimate boogey man.
And by the way, the postmodernists bear a large share of the blame for this shift, and I will be writing a series of articles about them. (See videos from Stephen Hicks on YouTube for explanations of postmodernism).
So where has the Democratic Party gotten to today? While Trump and his new administration are working to eliminate the rampant waste and fraud that have been going on for decades, and putting America first, the Democrats have nothing. A poll of Democrats and independents recently showed that 49% said that rather than cooperate with Trump and his agenda, Democrats should fight everything Trump is doing. So now they’re against fighting fraud and waste.
What are they for? And is there a common thread that runs through what the Democratic Party is FOR today?
Yes. Everything that the Democratic Party is for today, is actually DESTRUCTIVE of some element of society as we know it.
- Welfare: Giving people money for doing nothing and making them dependent on the government is destructive of their self-reliance and self respect. And living off welfare has become a lifestyle for way too many.
- Critical Theory: The whole genus of DEI and wokeness basically says that everyone is oppressed by someone else, blacks and other non-whites oppressed by whites (especially white males), females by males, gays by straights. And once you make someone into a victim and they accept that someone else is responsible for their condition, they become less able to actually be cause over their situation in life. Because they’re a victim of _____. And now of course we have college degree programs based on each of these scenarios, which does nothing but foster resentment on both sides of each equation.
- Abortion: Multiple birth control methods have been available for decades. Abortion is based on the idea of complete lack of responsibility and complete sexual liberty. The fact that laws have been attempted making abortion legal right up to the point of birth, and even after (which would actually be murder), should tell you all you need to know about the destructive nature of abortion.
- Green New Deal: I’ll go out on a limb here and say that the whole “global warming” and then “climate change” narrative is a complete lie and scam, used as a point of control. Global warming and the hockey stick graph has been completely debunked so often, but that hasn’t stopped the proponents of the climate change idea. Everywhere that these policies have really taken hold, like in Europe, energy prices have skyrocketed. And cheap energy is a fundamental building block of western civilization, and bringing economic progress to the third world.
- Gay Agenda: Destroying the family was an original tenet of the Communist Manifesto. The gay agenda in the west started out with gays being accepted, but now it is openly demanding you not just accept but celebrate gays, and accept that it be shoved down your throat on TV shows, in parades, and reading books to little kids.
And finally this morphed into the idea that you have to accept men competing in women’s sports, taking showers with girls in locker rooms, and you have to admit and agree that transgender men are actually women, that men can actually get pregnant, and that gender is only a matter of opinion. In some countries people are being charged with a crime for “mis-gendering” someone. - Unlimited Illegal Immigration: Democrats have been engaged for decades in a plan to import as many illegal immigrants as possible from the third world, offer them lots of free welfare incentives, and make them Democrat voters for life. Witness 12 million illegal immigrants allowed into the US during the Biden administration.
I shouldn’t have to say this, but I will. It matters what type of person comes to the US. Are they going to be someone who will be responsible and contribute to the society and help improve conditions? Or will they just be a drain or an active liability to the society? You get enough people coming in who are a drain on the productive members of society, then things could collapse. Which may just be the goal.
These are just a few of the examples of Democrat policies being overall destructive.
Elon Musk says that in the west, empathy has been weaponized.
And what is their plan, after western civilization is destroyed? Marxism. Communism, like we saw under the USSR, China, Cuba, North Korea. Oppression and power on a grand scale, responsible for over 100 million killed in the 20th century.
In the last election, I think we saw a large chunk of the US population reject these principles, even rejecting the legacy media, who is all-in on these policies and who gave us huge percentages of negative coverage on Trump and positive coverage for Harris. A large percentage has realized and decided that they are not a bad person if they reject, for example, the idea that a man can be a woman. Two thirds of the population supports Trump’s deportation efforts.
As a result of this rejection, I foresee years if not decades of life in the political wilderness, for the leadership of the Democratic Party. And I’m happy to see it.
