A new release on the Gallup site shows that based on surveys of 40,000 Americans conducted throughout 2009, 40% identify themselves as conservatives, compared to 21% that identify themselves as liberals. Here’s from the Gallup site:
“PRINCETON, NJ — Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s.”
This totally fits in with a 2003 Gallup poll that I quoted in one of my earlier articles on CommonSenseGovernment.com, where 40% identified themselves as conservatives and 20% as liberals.
Polls in the 1960s showed similar trends. Liberals have never been a majority in America. We are fooled, and Republicans in Washington are fooled, into thinking that liberals are in the majority, because liberals have taken over and control the mainstream news media, college campuses and Hollywood.
I don’t know about you, but as conservative, I think majority rule should be the order of the day. So let’s vote these socialists out of office, starting in 2010. How about it?
